Miles Marin Never Saw The Trouble Coming "Tightly plotted and highly entertaining..." Adventure junkie Miles Marin had hiked the Great Wall of China, celebrated New Year’s at the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, explored Inca ruins deep in the South American rain forest... But he never expected his most dangerous adventure would happen in sunny, safe Sarasota, Florida. Miles, a salesman for Mercedes in Sarasota, has an expensively dressed, striking blond woman walk into the showroom and offer to buy the most expensive car on the Mercedes lot—if—Miles will do one favor for her. That favor turns out to be the opening gambit in the kidnapping of Jens Beck, a high-ranking Mercedes marketing executive. Since Miles is the only person who has seen the blond woman’s face, FBI agents Casper and Chance want his help, as does Wernher Lohse, the former Bundeswehr special ops officer sent by Mercedes to secure Beck’s release. With the FBI and Lohse joining forces, you’d think the kidnap victim would be rescued quickly. But from the beginning, when the $50-million ransom demand is discovered in the abandoned Mercedes, this kidnapping is different. The kidnappers seem to be a step ahead of Lohse and the FBI, as if they’ve anticipated their every move. As the high-stakes game plays out and the chase moves from the beaches of Sarasota to those of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, things begin to go horribly wrong for both sides. Even adventure junkie Miles wasn’t expecting a ride this wild.

"A good start to a thriller trilogy that
When two New Jersey policemen mistake author Jack Shepherd for an underworld drug dealer as he drives home from a meeting with his publisher, they chase his truck on the New Jersey Turnpike and use an unauthorized procedure to stop him. The actions of the police backfire when they realize that Jack is not the notorious drug dealer, but by then it's too late to undo the damage and the only way out for the police is to suppress the evidence and fabricate a story that implicates Jack based on his drunkenness. Jack's attorney advises him to plead guilty to a lesser offense, which would result in a short stay at a minimum-security facility. The sentencing judge accepted the plea bargain, but uses Jack's case as an example and gives him to the maximum sentence. While in prison, a hardened criminal named Salvador Salinis thinks Jack is an acquaintance and yells the name “Parodi” before attacking him. This attack is the first clue as to whom the police thought he was and the first clue to Jack’s freedom. Wrongly Accused is Tom Schwartz’s debut novel for adults. So Long Superman, So Long Batman “The Taster is a book that'll captivate you and make you hungry.
In a world of corruption and wickedness, a world where your next meal may be your last, there’s only one man who can taste the difference between what you can eat and what will kill you. He’s the super-sized, super-talented FBI agent whose specialty is food security. He’s the bona fide card-carrying superhero unlike any other. He’s the fat man with the super taste buds and the super immunity. He’s Timothy Blanchard, the titular hero of The Taster. The Taster starts with a meal and a murder. A whirlwind of meals and murders follow. It’s enough to make you ravenously hungry and keep you furiously turning pages. After attending law school at the University of Memphis, Jonathan returned home to Newnan, Georgia, where he practiced law privately for eight years. In 1998, he joined the movie and entertainment related web magazine Entertainment Insiders later becoming the company President and Editor. While teaching business law for 3 years at a local University, he constantly encouraged his students to read and often used classic works of literature in classroom examples. He now serves as the Public Defender for the State Court of Coweta County. Jonathan lives in Georgia with his wife and daughter. While Jonathan was writing The Taster, his daughter would rather chew on Tarzan than listen to her father read it to her. While vacationing and eating a large amount of disgustingly delicious Mexican fast food, Jonathan typed out the first chapter of The Taster. He knew that what he was eating at the time was no damn good for him and agonized over the long-term consequences. But what if there were no consequences, he asked himself, what if he could eat anything and not worry about his health? Thus, The Taster was born out of the fires of hot sauce and one tasty gordita.

For Matt, a Sarasota stockbroker, the elderly Jesso had been a client and close friend. But after Joe’s unexpected death, Matt discovers the money his friend invested with him was embezzled from a drug cartel. Now the cartel is threatening him to get the money. Joe’s scheming wife of a week, fifty years his junior, and her shyster lawyer are demanding it, too. Matt, with the help of private investigator Tory Knight, must figure how to get the two groups at each other’s throats instead of his. Matt and Tory come up with an outrageous idea that just might work. But as the cartel ratchets up the pressure—arson, kidnapping, torture—will it be enough to keep Matt alive? Masterfully plotted, Blindsided delivers twists, turns, and thrills, right to the very last page.
When he returns to the States, he finds himself a wanted man, and must go on the run from the agency that is trying to convict him of high treason.
